I feel your pain. My little Kobe also had an undescended testicle (cryptochid). The vet suggested waiting till he was 1 year old to see if it would come down, but it never did. My husband was totally against the surgery until he went to the vet and the vet explained to him that it could cause him to get cancer later on. We got Mia two years later, and he finally gave in and we had Kobe and Mia fixed on the same day. Of course, they explained that Kobe's surgery would be a complicated one because of the incision in the abdomen. I cried when I left them at the vet that morning.

Picked them up along with their meds that evening, and Mia was kind of groggy and just slept all night. Kobe, on the other hand, was whining and crying. We were afraid to pick him up because of the scar. We looked and the poor guy had stitches on his penis too. The next day, Mia was as if nothing had happened but Kobe was not looking good. He didn't want to move and if he did, he screamed. This went on for two days and the third day, I had to take him back to the vet. He was somehow licking his wound even though he had that cone on and his stitches were now infected. He had to be put under and the stitches were redone, this time they put staples. Had to go back to the vet every day until finally after almost 6 days, he was 90 percent better.

If I had to do this all over again, would I? No, I would not. It was too painful to see him suffering.

Hope your baby doesn't have to go through what my baby did and has a speedy recovery.
