No, it is not good to just 'let them do their thing.' Whoever has been telling you that is an idiot and I sincerely hope they are not breeding too!  It presents loads of complications.
As far as mixes are concerned, there are varying, very strong opinions on that. Ask yourself this: What exactly are you trying to accomplish/produce by breeding mixed dogs? Why exactly are you wanting to breed her to begin with? And most importantly, why on Earth would you ever breed her without having done extensive research first? |
I agree Bama...sadly I wish everyone who breeds has to go to the shelters and work one day a week to see the over population of animals we have in this country. 8 MILLION turned in every year and 3/5 million euthanized. Someone better have a darn good reason for breeding IMHO...or they are just adding to the pet overpopulation and helping to kill animals.
P.S. Most reputable breeders do help out with rescue/shelter animals.
