I think you are a wonderful person for loving your puppy no matter what type of hair he has. I grew up with a dog grooming mom. Many times I heard of people getting rid of their dogs simply because the dog didnt turn out to look like their breed did in magazines. I never understood this, do you get rid of your kids because they are not what you expected.
Just a note... I know some one who paid $2000.00 for a SHOW quality french bulldog with the intentions on showing. 6 months after she had the puppy home he developed a rash brought him to the vet and he had hereditary mange. Called the breeder and the breeder didn't care, they were aware that the parents were carriers. Not defending BYB'S but things can happen no matter where you buy your dog. I also bought my first dog from a byb because I didn't have a clue how to find a "better breeder". I have learned much on this forum and will use that knowledge for the next puppy. I didn't want to rehash the same argument. Just wanted you to know that what I saw in your post touched me that you you will love your puppy no matter what it will turn out like.
