I have horses and my lil girl LOVES to chew on the trimmings when the horses get their feet trimmed, (it's gross I know) when she has one she doesn't want anything else, I don't let her get ones that small pieces will break off of.
I don't think the cow hoof would be bad because they are sooo hard that they won't break pieces off of them. If you are really worried about the germs, boil them first. ( I have never done it but it would kill the germs)
I buy these things from the feed store and have never had a problem. Pita has a pigs ear that she can't get a piece off of for anything and she loves to chew it. |
