Yes, there is a chance it did take. Male dogs will actually keep trying until the are too tired to try again.

I have some Very Big concerns for you:
1.) You should never let them mate by themself. They could get really hurt!
2.) Your Chloe is 6 1/2 years of age (I looked at some of your old posts where you stated her age) and I am assuming this will be her first litter! OMG
3.) You are breeding mixed puppies on purpose????? Yes, why?

* You must have not done your research a head of time. Which makes me concerned too that they were not health tested (before breeding), and crazy to breed mixes. Also I am very concerned about your girl. If this is her first litter you need to have your vet contacted and watch her carefully over the weeks before delivery. And her delivery may not go well. She may end up with a c-section. My last one was over $800.00. Her uterus is not as young as it once was and it is not recommended (by the experts) to breed a dog after they pass the age of 3 (for the first breeding), due to the lack of elastic stretch the uterus has now. Be very concerned!
