Your so called breeder is just that. Releasing a pup at 9 weeks of age. Only one vaccination, maybe. Just being weaned of her mother. Coccidia is common, brought on by stress. Such as being taken from her mother, moving to a new location. It is a parasite that lays dormant in a mother, but passed on to the pup.
The bright side of this is your so called breeder is responsible for your pups vet fees. Yep! You live in California and there are stringent Lemon Laws. She's responsible for a whole lot more. Sounds more like she's a broker and not the breeder.
