 Whip worms
My new baby was diagnosed with giardia, another parasite, and ringworm. Both my older pek and my 17 month old yorkie got everything too. The vet gave me a hard time about giving the meds to my other two dogs because she hadn't diagnosed them with everything. I know my dogs and I know they had gotten it. (Giardia doesn't show up in every stool sample.) I did pick up my yard also, but after researching giardia, I found out that it can stay in the yard for two months, even after the poop has been picked up. I have been pouring bleach-water on every spot after picking up now. I'm not sure if whip worms are the same though. It is so easy for our little babies to transfer these things though. (My pek has little to no contact with my new baby and she's gotten it.) |
