Around midnight on Thursday/Friday am I found a HUGE egg shaped lump on Emma's neck. We took her to the ER vet an hour away immediately because i didn't know if it was an allergic reaction or what and I wasn't taking chances.
I forgot that she'd had her vaccinations (parvo, distemper) a week earlier in that spot - so the emergency vet said that she could be reacting to it - like her antibodies were trying to fight off the vaccine.
It's still extremely hard and swollen and hasn't reduced in size even though she's on antibiotics, anti inflammatories, and we're doing hot packs 4 times a day.
Has this happened to anyone else's babies? We have a follow up w/our regular vet today, but I'm so worried it hasn't reduced in size.
It doesn't appear to bother her at all and she has no pain when I touch it. It's just this huge lump. The ER vet also took a sample of it and looked at it under the scope - and said the chance that it is cancerous or anything of the sort is highly, highly unlikely.
I just feel so bad for my poor girl and want this lump gone

I'm scared to get vaccines now for the babies in general.
