Default Open Fontanelle (ie. hole in head)

The little one we brought home has a hole in the top her skull (Open Fontanelle) a little smaller than the size of the dime. The breeder showed us this and explained that the smaller Yorkies can have this sometimes and that it closes within a year.

I read online that this is fine but she should never bump her head... "avoid jumping off furniture) etc. etc....

How is this possible? Yorkies are not lazy dogs and I can't confine her for a year... she liks to play, jump, bump into things... run around with her older brother etc...

So is there a practical solution for this? Are the concerns over emphasized?
