As far as the blindness I know it is frustrating to hear her whine but you have got to help her feel secure again. Can you imagine if you lost your eye sight all the adjustments that you would have to go through. I agree that you should talk to her a lot and touch her a lot so that she knows that she is safe and secure. Make sure you enhance the senses that she does have left. hearing and touching and smelling. If you stimulate those senses she will be a happier dog.. Good luck..sending prayers to you  |
Great advise - I was thinking the sleeping issue could also be something other than being blind too - but as people said (and I did too) many blind dogs do very well once they adjust. You may want get another vet check since there could be more going on then just the eyesite problem.
I'd try to not to ignore her - she's telling you something
