yeah that is my question too as demi had high bun and her creatinine was normal. Bun is related to dehydration usually. They had me all freaked out over demi and i emailed jean dodds and she was like she is FINE. I hope this is not happening with you also. Also urine needs to be tested as well as sometimes that can tell more than blood work.

If you can homecook contact Holistic Veterinarian Pet Nutritionist Holistic Pet Care as she has helped alot of dogs with health issues.

I want to know though was that creatinine normal at .9.

Also medications can skew blood tests as well so were any antibiotics etc given prior to dental and blood work?

I agree with joining the grou k9kidneys as those people know how to read blood work etc

Also moisture and low protein and low sodium are key for kidney disease so dogs with kidney issues should be on a wet diet not dry food. My friends dog has 25% use of his kidneys and she sees a nephrologist who specialize in kidney disease who i would STRONGLY recommend you consult as a second opinion and pay for a phone consult as she is in New York. I will get you the link and link you another thread with info i provided.
