Okay, a question about having a stud in the home. What if you dont want the dogs to mate when the females are in heat? Im thinking of starting with three females? Say a season comes around and you decide you dont want puppies. Do you just have to keep them seperated? I know I know lol please no eye rolling
Yes, dogs can get STD's and spread them to one another. SO make sure to test each one. My males always have belly bands on, when a female is in heat and I don't want her bred, I keep my males in another room and/or supervise them around the female. My female also wears a diaper during her cycle. Bands & diapers will not prevent a breeding, it is just an aid, you must supervise or separate them. My males are pretty good boys, they listen well and know the meaning of "no", I have taught them well.
