Hi & Welcome to YT! It is great that you are learning and wanting to learn all you can. Having a mentor is a must, someone who can guide you through the process and answer questions. As for a stud, most breeders have their own and do not do stud service however, if you find one that does, make sure you look at the genetic testing of the stud that has been done, along with the BAT results. Both male and female need to have eyes, ears, heart, lungs checked prior to using. Both male and female also need to be checked/tested for STD's. Not to mention, both male and female need to be evaluated to ensure both are improving the breed. There is a lot more to breeding than just pairing up a male and female. You will find a lot of information on yt however, hands on experience and a great mentor is a breeder's gold! Good luck.
