Every time someone watches this advert Pedigree will give £1 up to a total of£100,000 to homeless dogs. This all came about when pedigree fell out with the Kennel Club over breeding practices.Under cover reporters discovered that
breeders were breeding to standard in such a way that it was detrimental to the dogs health.For instance flat nosed breeds such as bull terriers were breed to a point were they can hardly breath properly because of short noses.
Kennel Club has now recognised that some breeding standards are out dated and are altering standards to benifit the dogs health .The Kennel Club now promote accredited breeders to breed healthy dogs.
Pedigree distanced themselves from the Kennel Club,they do not sponser Crufts and they do not attend along with a few other big names such as Dogs Trust,a nationwide dog rescue.They believe that bad breeding has led to more homeless dogs.
