Joey's breeder sent him home in a little bow at 12 weeks, but my first attempts were horrible, and it was months later before I could do it. This website has some great tips on using a double band method. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In You scoop hair low on the forehead, and put a band around that then put a bow around the band. Next you scoop up the hair behind, and place a band around the whole thing, so bow is locked into place and won't move around. Also, baby bows at first not show type bows, they are lighter and they don't bother them as much. Baby bows are a cinch to make also, just cross a piece of ribbon and loop a small band around it, pulling one side of the band through the middle of the other side. No sewing is involved.
