Start as soon a possible! My Zoey is my first yorkie so I made the mistake of waiting and now she fights with me. She won't keep a bow in her hair but she "allows" me to put a small hair tie in! Call him over everyday, as many times as you can throughout the day, and tell him "fix hair" and comb him and play with his hair on his head. Slowly introduce a bow, clip or tie. Every time Zoey and mommy "fix hair" it gets easier and easier! good luck!!!!!
