That would be false. Even though my baby has floppy ears they still shave the tips and pull the hair out of the inside and both grow back and are ready to be recut/pulled when its time for her to go back to the groomers after about 6 weeks. They also trim the hair around the ears and I have had absolutely no problem with it growing back.
