I'm no expert either, but this is my understanding: A Yorkie can be AKC registered and not meet the standards. But it will be disqualified from AKC show competitions and could never earn points or a championship.
Eddie is oversized and miscolored, but he's AKC registered. Also neutered
Jillie has a parti dad, and she's eligible for AKC registration. I just haven't done it yet.
