AprilLove is truly a lady.

I just walk them at a time I know they have to go and don't stop until they've done their business. The key is to praise, praise, praise when they get it right and give them a treat. They lose their bashfulness quickly when there's a reward at the end.
A trainer told me one time to not let them sniff every thing they come across in search of the perfect poo spot. If it looks like they're gonna go, give them 30 seconds and move on. Eventually, they'll realize it's now or never.
Good luck! Here's what you want to avoid! YouTube - Eddie Poo Dance |
I can't take credit for the question. A new member asked on another thread in this section.
Great advice from you and your trainer. My Max isn't bashful, but he gets annoyed with me that I keep him walking at such a fast pace that he has a hard time telling me that he needs to do his stuff.
Love the Eddie Poo Dance, lol.
