I was needing a gate for the den for the times I didn't want the girls in the rest of the house. I wanted one high enough that they couldn't jump over but, I didn't want one that I would have to step over since I have health problems. The den door opening for the gate is 72 inches wide. We found a gate that would slide to that width at Petco. My DH stained a 2x4 and attached a T to each end. On the ends he attached casters. He locked the caster in on one side of the gate and I just swing the other side open as I go in and out the den> It looks and works great!
