I lost Dixie to congenital kidney failure at 7 months. My vet gave me no hope but I did go to a nephrologist and he said he thought he could help her. He said if they had at least 25% kidney function that they did pretty good with fluids and medicines. Unfortunatley Dixie only had 17%. He said that he had many yorkies in his practice under long term care and doing well. Don't give up hope. I know how devastated you are. I couldn't believe it when I found out.
