I used to buy the baby gates and she would bite holes in them to get out. Finally on her birthday my husband and I went to PetSmart. They had a 4 ft. metal gate with vertical bars going up. There is about a 2 inch space between the bars and she cannot escape. I have the gate on the kitchen which keeps them confined when we are not here. Alyssa is the only yorkie our local Petco has had who stood flat behind the gate and jumped to the outside. They said other dogs have done it but no yorkie. She also escaped from her metal kennel with metal bars. She was bleeding but she got out.
