Unhappy Renal failure in 6 month old

My baby, Rocky, is almost 6 months old and was diagnosed with kidney failure 2 days ago. We have been taking him in for fluids every day and picking him up at night to come home. He has also been receiving antibiotics. They are giving him no chance and say that if his labs have not changed by tomorrow (Friday) they suggest putting him to sleep. Does anyone have any experience with this? He is eating, he plays, he just gets tired easy and sleeps more than usual. He does not seem to be in pain. He does not seem sick enough for me to give up on him yet. We are not sure what has caused this, but the vet seems to think that he was born with it. We have been over everything and there is no way of contact with antifreeze, grapes, swiffer, etc. Any suggestions or advise would trully be appreciated. I do not know what to do. All I know is that for right at this moment my whole family is devastated.
