Our little chiu/pom mix has this problem. When you sneeze you blow air out. A reverse sneeze the dog is pulling air in threw the nose. Its noisy and sounds like they are gasping for breath. Our girl has had this all her life. It happens when she is excited. For the most part its not life threatening. Though they say if it happens daily there is probably an underlying cause. Our girl is 15 in human years and has always done this. Has been checked and the vet cannot find a problem.
