Maddie had an inner ear infection and had no smell from her ear. She did however, hold her head a little to the side at times and acted like she was off balance when waking. It was weird, she did not act like herself at all.
I really think you should take her to the vet to be on the safe side. Ears, like eyes, are something I would not want to mess around with. Better safe than sorry.
