I actually asked the vet if his lower jaw couldn't somehow be brought out surgically. Beside the fact I think she thought I was crazy, she said if he can eat, he doesn't need surgery, because the bite is so off, he needs alot of dental care.
my dex is a puppymill pup and his bite is off too so when he gets his dental by dentist I will have jaw xrayed as hes two canines line up perfectly top and bottom so the top one pushed out the bottom one almost straight so his tongue now at 6 hangs out at times. I think alot of that is genetics but when they are puppies when they pull out baby teeth it is not uncommon for vets to break a tiny dogs jaw in doing so and dex had 10 baby teeth taken out when neutered and he was in a lot of pain after his neuter and neuters are suppose to be easy so still haunts me a bit. He did not seem to have a prob eating kibble back then and i would think if jaw was broke he would not be able to eat kibble so i am hoping this was just a deformity due to him being a puppy mill dog. I agree if they can eat no need to fix it.
