Toys My two love whatever the other has. They fight over toys every night. It's usually our yorkie, Jasmine who starts it with our Westie, Duffy. She always wants what he has. They end up playing tug of war. He is SOOO much bigger that she is. He could take the toy away in a heartbeat if he really wanted too, but they love to play keep away or tug of war, so the fight is on. She ends up getting mad and biting him, but he never gets mad at her. He is so good to her. He is approx 18 lbs and she is about 2 1/2 and she will get so mad and jump on him and bite him, but he never ever bites her back. He will usually just run if she gets too mad. I guess he loves her as much as the rest of us do.
As far as toys: He loves empty water bottles too. He can make so much noise with them. He loves my granddaughters Barbies. (Eats the feet off) and some of them are headless now. He also has one of her old big baby dolls he plays with. He loves to play ball with a tennis ball. He brings it to me and I throw it straight at him really fast and he can catch it in his mouth. It's amazing. Last night he missed and it hit him and bounced on the couch. He didn't see where it went and was looking all over for it. I said "It's on the couch" He immediately jumped on the couch and got it. How's that for smart. And some people say dogs don't understand what we say to them.
Jasmine likes small stuffed animals. Mcdonald toys. (they both chew on them) Mostly anything Duffy has looks like so much fun.
I go to the kids toy section a lot as their stuffed animals and things are much cheaper than the pet section. I also bought mine some rubber fish that squeak. I think they are really bath toys for kids and they love them. THey are really thick rubber so they can't chew them up. They were 3 colorful fish for $1.00 at General Dollar Store. I bought her a small ball but she never plays with it. He loves to play ball. She won't fetch like he will.
One of them got on the end table in the family room and got one of my expensive silver hoop earrings off the table and chewed it all up. I'm glad they didn't swallow it as it could have hurt them. I never lay them there, but it only took once. |
