I raised my sons Golden for 8 months and he moved to fla. I went to visit a yr after he moved and when she saw me she went nuts and when it was time for me to go she tried to get in my car. lol she wouldn't listen to my son she just wanted to go with her mommy
My daughter lived with me for 17 months with her yorkie and she bonded with me and I use to always say HI HI to Gidgy in a high tone. Every time she hears me talking on skype she always runs over to the computer!!
Your dog WILL NOT forget you
but it is going to be harder on you than her I think
