You might want to research Heimlich Maneuver, I'm not sure how to do it in dogs. For skin infants you hold the baby face down on your arm resting your arm on your leg or thigh and with your palm give firm tabs on your baby's back (between shoulder) . The other method for kids and adults is pressing on the sternum pushing up. I don't know if it works on dogs. Try not to pull the object with your fingers because there's a big risk of pushing it further down. Hope this helps.
