I am glad they are on the mend. Did the dogs have any old chews around that they had been chewing on? I know some chews can harbor a lot of bacteria.

I keep lavender oil on hand for minor sores and abrasions. It works great. I mix a few drops with coconut oil then apply it. I get the oil from my vet but you can also get it at health food stores. Lavender oil is a natural antibiotic. It is also suppose to work well for keeping fleas off dogs.
