I think that if you make your own raw diet it is cheaper- but you have to feel comfortable doing it.

Where I buy my pre made raw (because I can't always remember to get out meat to defrost..whoops) it is around $15 for 3lbs of chicken. The place I buy the premade from also gives out lots of buy one get one free coupons.

I am able to get in a grocery store chicken for about 79cent a lb, ground beef/turkey for about $1.99/lb, liver for $3.99 for a big pack, and other random I can't remember right now...haha.

My dog is 110lbs, so I go through MUCH more food than a yorkie would, but it is cheaper for me to feed raw than the EVO I was feeding. I was able to get meat from a coop so it is even cheaper than the grocery store.
