Many times with Yorkies, when changes happen in their lives, it seems that potty training needs to start over from square one. I would just maybe increase the frequency, and walk him on leash until he goes, then praise him.

Sometimes, the stay in the hospital can reek havoc on their potty habits. It may take gentle reminders from you to get him back on track. He is still very young, many do not acheive total pottying control till they've reached a year old or more.
