What a beautiful tribute to Lexi. Know that time will help to heal your pain and that your memories of her will help comfort you. I lost my Polo (14 yrs old) last summer when I had to make the painful decision to put him to sleep. Here is my list of Thank You's to Polo.

1. Thank you Polo for teaching me how rewarding it is to adopt a rescued animal. I truly think you loved us for saving you and we tried our best to give you a comfortable, loving home for your last 5 years.

2. Thank you Polo for tolerating the blow dryer even though I know you hated it.

3. Thank you Polo for putting up with the bows I put in your hair on special occasions even though some of your two legged brothers teased you about it.

4. Thank you Polo for being so patient with me while I gave you your insulin injections twice a day. Through all of your pokes and blood sugar testing, you were never grumpy and made it so much easier for me.

5. Thank you Polo for being the *best* snuggler. Bar none.

6. Thank you Polo for getting along with all of the 4 legged brothers and sister in our house. You adapted so easily when you came to live with us. Even though you and Domino never became friends, I think he still wonders where you went.

7. Thank you Polo for being such a good dog through our ordeal with Hurricane Ike. You couldn't see that we slept in the closet while the storm passed and you stayed as happy as a bug in a rug in your car seat while we spent 6 days with no electricity.

8. Thank you Polo for keeping me company in my office every day while I worked. You were always quiet whenever I had to take a call.

9. Thank you Polo for always greeting me with excitement whenever I came home. You made me feel very loved and appreciated.

10. Thank you Polo for showing us how special yorkies are. I cannot imagine now not having one in my life but know that you will always hold a most precious place in our hearts.
