The dog park can be overwhelming for a more reserved dog. Lots of smells that don't match up with the sights. Lots of noise.
Perhaps you could try to find a friendly, small dog in your area to arrange play dates to let him start getting used to being around other dogs. Then slowly add another dog, and another ...etc before you try the dog park again. |
