Last week i got a copy of Victoria Stillwells book It's me or the dog.
i loved it it was set up in a very simple way and was so easy to followthat my 10 year old who is only interested in animal books.picked it up started reading about how to teach down and had his very neurotic puppy laying down in about 5 min. i have two 8 month old puppies one wa supposed to be my ex-boyfriends but when he left he left it with the kids because she had grown up around other dogs and kids and was very lonely but since we moved i have never had more trouble with them they bark they pee on the carpet they snap at each other and the other dogs they wont walk and if i put them on a lead outside they sit on the ground and scream. i have read several sites and picked up other books but everything was so complicated the kids wear not getting it we finished the book last night and now this morning we have managed to get them to stop with one bark if we just say there names in a stern voice we got them to go potty outside i guess the noise from the road was bothering them because we took them around the side of the house and they went potty right away so hopefully no more accidents in the house after this week

i would recommend this book to everyone it even has a great chapter on bringing a puppy home and potty training a little puppy and what not
