That is completely true. My sister has a husky and she attacks every bird, rabbit, groundhog etc. that comes into her yard. Not to mention they shed A LOT! Hopefully everything works out with your neighbor. He obviously knows about the breed since he has one himself. You weren't doing anything wrong by trying to find a new home for Prince. You were protecting your little ones from being hurt acidentally.
