After Rhianna's spay she was pretty much out of it when I picked her up. I brought with me a soft blankie to hold her in. When we got home I placed her in her bed and covered her. She did shake and was stoned for most of the night. She went potty good, but I had to bring her water to her. I kept checking her gums as I was afraid she hadn't eaten anything, but her gums were bright pink and I knew she wasn't having any low blood sugar problems. They recover a lot faster than we would after a surgery like that. About 48 hours she was practically back to herself, although each pup is different. I made sure the next few days after her surgery I was home with her.

They make it just fine, so no worries . . .just extra lovin and attention is what makes them bounce back quick!
