Holly isn't allowed upstairs either, so we had a baby gate up for about 3 months. When she woupld press her nose agaisnt the gate we would tell her "No". Now we don't keep the gate up at all and she knows not to go upstairs. She'll still try every now and then, but I'll call her sternly and she comes running down like her tail is on fire, because she knows she's not allowed up there.
Now the living room is a different story. She still manages to get in on the side of the gate, and potty's in there every time! I don't know why she got the stairs but not the living room. |
