They told me to get the science diet treats for him. He wasn't crazy about the food or the treats, but we didn't have much of a choice. After a bunch of retesting we finally had an ultrasound and that proved he was fine. The food made his levels go down and now he is back to his normal Eukenuba. As to what caused his levels to go up in the first place is still a mystery. |
You are so lucky that your baby's levels went down and are able to be back on Euk. We've fed that for years (and our Sheltie is still on it); but we've had to keep our Lexie on the dry (and now wet mixed in) Science Diet L/D; her numbers have been up and down; however, she's feeling better, but our vet said the next step will be a liver biopsy to maybe rule some things out. From what I hear on this website, liver issues seem to be a problem with Yorkies. We had two previous Yorkies with no health issues, so have been surprised to have this problem with our Lexie. She's 3 years old now, and every day that is a good day for her, is a good day for us!
