Honestly, I kinda winged it in the beginning... I didn't know much about training and wasn't even planning on being so into training a dog. I remember, he was about 10 weeks old (had him for a week) and I decided to teach him "sit" because I felt like every dog knew sit lol.... and I would say 'sit' and kinda tap his butt into a sit, and then reward him. He learned sit within 5 minutes and it just went from there... then we learned down, etc. When it came to the more advanced tricks, like limping and getting me a tissue and say your prayers, etc, I used zakgeorge21 (youtube) the trainer from AP's Superfetch. And also youtube user kikopup were great.
I've just begun using clicker training and it's awesome and amazing!
