A bit late in seeing this, I have been the office manager of an elementary school for the past 20 years and have seen many student teachers come and go.....one thing that my kinder teachers do is they have different seat covers for their different groups....One table might have red plaid seat covers, while another might have blue...etc....etc.... this helps the lil one's identify with different shapes, colors, groups....they also use numbers along with their names...hope this helps some...and good luck with your student teaching...
