I have several times caught my girl sitting on the top of the sofa. I really discourage it. It can be very dangerous if they fall, could easily break a leg or worse. These are small, fragile dogs, easily hurt.
I am not judging you and I don't want people coming on YT for help and getting ripped to shreads, but I stongly advise that maybe you don't allow him to sit up there anymore. Not so safe. Just my opinion.
