The F stands for finished cut. You don't want to get one w/out the F after it. Those are skip tooth blades & if used incorrectly, can snag the skin.
Like Kellie, I like the 7F on Momo who has a very thick cottony coat, for the summer. It leaves a velvety smooth finish.
Turbo has thinner, probably modified hair & the 4F or 5F is great for his hair type. Unless you want the buzzed cut look, then go w/7F.
I too love the cut Mardelin described, leaving the legs long. It gives them a style, but still have the short easy to maintain body.
4F leaves 3/4" of hair on the body
5F leaves 1/2"
7F leaves 1/4"
Anytime you go against the grain (natural hair growth), it cuts in half. 5F against the grain would leave 1/4" of hair on the body. |
