I'd like to have an option when the weather is bad rather than him just peeing in my carpet!

I do take him outside, he's just more interested in smelling everything than pottying. Then not 15 minutes after I bring him back in he's peed.

Just like Pepper, when he was little. I would spend up to an hour outside with him, determined that I (!) would win this 'battle'. As soon as we got back inside the house, he would squat and 'do his business'. Hmmm.

Thank goodness, Pepper seems ok now with toileting, apart from the occasional accident.

I found using the pads rather expensive after a while. We use newspaper now, for when we are out of home. Then, when we do come home, the door is always kept open for Pepper to go outside. Big challenge coming up now though: it is winter, and we will have to figure out something else. Can't have heater running, with door open, obviously.

I would love to try the bell trick. Hope someone can give hints on HOW to teach it.
