ive noticed in the last few days that a few of the puppies are started to get a brown color in their black coat... right now its just on the top of the head and it wasnt there before, kinda at the base of the skull on top of their heat between their ears, its subtle but noticeable because they were all solid black before and i didnt think they did any coat changes till much older...

my female is pretty light with golden patches in here coat and her mom was VERY gold. no grey/blue saddle, just gold and tan. and the dad is the solid black coat with the tan underneath. i will try to get photos
Not sure if this is your first litter or how familiar you are with the yorkie breed. Pups are always born black with brown/tan markings and go through a metamorphis of color changes until they reach maturity. Usually about two years of age. The head will change at times from glack to white to gold. Some heads will never clear to a rich gold and will have a sooty head coloring. Some will stay black. Coat texture will change too. Some silk and other's cotton
