I sew and used to sew clothing for myself and for my sons when they were babies. Now, I sew for Ruby mostly, also dog beds, etc., and I occasionally sew pillows, drapes or some other home decor item.
Honestly with the cost of fabric and cheaply priced clothing available, it just didn't make sense to continue to sew clothing for myself. Now for almost the price of the pattern and thread you can sometimes find the very item you want at some discount store.
