I am having a problem with my princess Jada. She is an alpha female. She gets along great with Bogie and they are best buddies. My problem is with her attitude when I am home. Both of my babies are so attached to me. Jada will bark at anyone coming into the house, but it is only when I am home.

DH has been off this week and he said when I am at work Jada doesn't bark at all. DS has said the same, when he is home alone with her she is doesn't bark either. The minute I come home if anyone comes to the door (even DH) she goes running to the door and barks, she has even tried to nip the ankles of DS and my DL and my in-laws. It is only when people are coming in the house or leaving, once they are in and seated she stops and is very friendly with them. It is only when they entering the house or leaving. Could it be fear aggression?

I can get her to stop barking if I catch her before she gets out of control. I have found if I just say no bark and ssh very lightly ( like quieting a toddler ) she will stop the barking.

My question is: how do I get her to stop trying to do the nipping. It is like she is trying to protect me and she only does this behavior when I am home. Help please, I don't want my little princess to be like this, and I know I can change this behaviour, I just have no clue how to go about it.
