 Bleeding Stomach Ulcer
I haven't been on YT for awhile. We have been through a lot with Miss Ruby lately. As you know she has Mast Cell Cancer and had been taking Neoplasene. Recently she started vomiting with and without blood and had diarrhea with blood. She has been to the vet several times in the last month and spent a night in the hospital. The thought is that she has stomach ulcers. Research says that 80% of dogs with mast cell tumors have bleeding stomach ulcers. So she is on two medicines, one to coat the stomach and one for diarrhea. She is on a bland diet of chicken and rice only. We go back next week for an endoscopy. I haven't had the guts to ask the vet what this means for her future because I'm scared of what she may tell me. |
