some surgeons recommend pt, some do not. Mine did not but I thought that the water therapy would be a good thing and he agreed. He also limited it to 5 minutes every other day.
I would say that it certainly cannot hurt to do some as it will help to get him using his leg more and aid in keeping the leg agile. I wouldn't over do it but just a little at a time. There has been so much advances and changes in medicine so what may have been the procdure 30 years ago, may not necesarily the most effectively today. But you should do what you and your surgeon are comfortable with. I'm certainly not trying to contradict a vet.
