Glad to hear people still do bake sales and other things. Around here, the parents go around to all the shops and just flat out asking for donations! this is a upper middle class community too! Once we got a cold call at our shop asking for monetary donations and we said we don't do that. Instead of saying ok thank you, the woman goes on to harrass me! Well it felt like she was harassing me. "Why not?" she asks. I said we can't afford to. She says "You don't support your local schools?" I say no we can't afford to. Again, "Why not?" I just ended up hanging up on her. A no is a no, i don't feel like I have to tell her my whole story and my reasons why to get her to end the call.
